Privacy Policy
How we handle your data — in short, we collect as little as possible, and card numbers never leave your device.
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Card BIN Checker (cardbinchecker.com) handles information. It reflects how the site actually works: we never ask for a full card number, and we are built to collect as little as possible.
The short version
- We never ask for, store, log, or transmit full card numbers.
- Most tools compute results entirely in your browser. The BIN Checker sends only the 6-8 digit BIN prefix (never a full card number) to a third-party lookup service.
- We don’t require accounts and don’t collect personal information.
- We use no tracking cookies today; advertising cookies apply only when ads are enabled, subject to your consent.
What we do — and don’t — send
Full card numbers are never transmitted: the input is truncated to the first 8 digits in your browser before any lookup, so a complete card number can never leave your device. The Card Validator, Luhn Checker, Card Formatter, Network Lookup and Test Card Generator run entirely in your browser and make no network requests carrying your input.
The BIN Checker is the one exception: to return the richest, most current details it first sends only the 6-8 digit BIN prefix (a non-sensitive, public routing number — never a full card number) to a third-party API, HandyAPI (data.handyapi.com), which may log the request and your IP as any web service does. If that service is unavailable, the lookup falls back to a static dataset bundled with the site. We never send more than the BIN prefix, and we never store what you type.
Information that may be processed
Like most websites, our hosting provider and content delivery network may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. This is handled by our host and is not used to identify you. A theme preference (light, dark or system) is stored locally in your browser; it contains no personal data.
Advertising
We may display ads from Google AdSense to keep the tools free. When advertising is enabled, ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. In regions that require it (such as the EEA and UK), personalized advertising is shown only with your consent, with a non-personalized option otherwise. See our Cookie Policyfor details and controls. When live, Google’s use of advertising cookies is governed by Google’s own policies.
Analytics
We do not currently run analytics. If we introduce it, it will be privacy-respecting and aggregate; any measurement will exclude the digits you type. We will update this policy before enabling it.
Your rights
Because we don’t collect personal information through the tools, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete. Where applicable data-protection laws (such as GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over any personal data a partner may process, you can exercise them via the relevant partner or by contacting us. We do not sell personal information.
Children
The site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
